Are you in the "FOG"? - Family of Givers

A few days ago I posted a blog beginning with an analogy to acronyms.  Another acronym in the RTF is “FOG” – the Family of Givers program.

This program is genius – thanks to the 2006-07 Board of Trustees for initiating it, and the 2007-08 BOT for pushing it along, and the 2008-09 BOT for celebrating six Pacesetters (donor’s of more than $1,000.00) at EFAM 2009.  The FOG program is advantageous in that through it; individuals, chapters, and divisions are recognized.  We track your donations from your first donation directly to the Trust (does not include chapter/division coin collections) and forward.  At varying times when you will reach specific levels, we are happy to send you a small token of recognition and acknowledge you in our annual report.

For an individual, at the point where your donations amount to $100.00 – you have reached the Sustaining level and we identify you with a complimentary RTF Family of Givers pin.  When you reach the Leadership level at $500.00 – we are happy to send you the RTF FOG pin and place a paver at Vista Grande with your name on it.  Once you have arrived at the Pacesetter level of $1,000.00, you will receive an RTF FOG pin, paver, and a plaque that will be presented at the next EFAM.  Recognition of donors doesn’t stop there – once one achieves the $5,000.00 level, their name will be engraved on a plaque and placed on our RTF Donor Wall at IAAP Headquarters for all to see.  Further, you become a Patron of the Trust once your accumulated donations reach $10,000.00 and Benefactor of the Trust at the $15,000.00 level – at which time you will be receiving further recognition on the RTF Donor Wall.  Of course at those levels, with your permission, we would be pleased to recognize your generosity at every opportunity.

For Chapters, whenever an individual from your chapter makes a donation – it is credited to them and to your chapter!  If 10 members from the same chapter donate to the Trust, the amount of all of those funds are credited to that chapter.  That credit, along with funds raised by the chapter at chapter activities, all go toward that Chapter’s recognition from the Trust.

For Divisions – it’s threefold!  From the individual’s donation, through the Chapter and on up to Division – that one donation is credited at each level.  Trustees enjoy giving recognition and awards to those who support our efforts on behalf of members of IAAP.

March has been designated by IAAP as “RTF Month” – take a look at how easy it is to make a donation and be part of our culture in “Helping Our Own” at http://www.iaap-rtf.org/donate/form.html or on-line at https://iaap-hq.org/eseries/source/security/site-logon.cfm?section=unknown&activesection=home?rtf=1
